The National Bank of Kuwait has launched a product they’re calling “NBK Direct Remit”, a blockchain-based product which uses RippleNet for cross-border payments from within the Middle Eastern nation.
The Italian government has published its list of 30 blockchain high-level experts to further its integration of the technology at state level.
A governmental committee in India has reportedly suggested that cryptocurrencies be legalized in the country.
The Japanese Financial Services Agency (FSA) received 190 cryptocurrency exchange license applications.
Currently, both the FCA and the U.K. Treasury (i.e., the U.K.'s department of economics and finance) are considering how to classify cryptocurrencies and whether to apply existing regulations to them or to devise new, more specific legislation.
